This course is a survey of playwrights from the Greeks to the present. The selected plays are read, discussed and analyzed.

This course is designed for the student to learn to interpret literature for an audience. Students will learn and be evaluated on: doing performance analyses, developing relevant introductions, communicating a relevant theme, executing proper character placement and focus, using effective vocal skills, using effective physical involvement. Students will demonstrate proficiency in the above through solo and ensemble class presentations.
